Warm greetings from Little Flower School and Hearty welcome to Little Flower School! Basil Nagar, Aroor!

You are welcome to experience the educational atmosphere prevailing over here and the changes taking place in the quality of education imparted to the students and the developmental changes taking place in the infra-structure of our school.

I am sure, all of you have been experiencing the new wave of changes taking place in the behaviour and attitude and thinking pattern of your children studying in this school towards learning.It is not an exaggeration, if I say, for parents who want to givetheir children a bright future, Little Flower School is a boon for them and students who want to make their future bright; Little Flower School (LFS) is a heaven for them. Now, every student feels that their future gets right direction by being a Flowerite. They are made aware of the fact that they themselves are the makers of their own destiny. Theyhave to try their level best to achieve it.

While keeping this target in mind, we focus on three important things they have to foster while being a Flowerite:

First one is to behave politely and gently with everybody as a fine gentleman/woman with a good character, Secondis to enable them to express and communicate their ideas fluently in English like his mother tongue. Thirdoneisto enable them towrite legibly with a good handwriting in English, Malayalam and Hindi before they leave this school.

The special identity of the Flowerite is his/ her identification with the poor and the marginalized in our society.They start recognizing their identity and are conscious of the challenging and competing world in front.

Many parents have shared their joy in the attitude and approach of the school in bringing the attitudinal changes taking place in their students’ behaviour, attitude and their performance.

Friends!We are in a competitive world which undergoes catastrophic changes. Survival of the fittest, the Darwinian thinking and the guiding principle of the modern man, money is power and money is everything,is a fact we experience every day. So, if we want to survive in this fast growing world, we need to be fit in this world that is we should be efficient, competent and clever. This is possible only through good and quality education, an education aiming at bringing changes in a person qualitatively. Therefore, everybody is conscious of the importance of self-education and educating own children. Now everybody tries to give prime importance to education whether they are rich or poor and to achieve this end in view, they are ready to sacrifice everything, even their basic needs or demands of human life – Food, Shelter and Clothing (FSC).

Today parents are in search of educational institution where their children’s physical, spiritual, intellectual and mental growth is well attended and are ready to sacrifice everything for it.  At this juncture I am happy to inform you that the educational vision of Little Flower Congregation is entirely different and quite contrary to the contemporary way of thinking. They welcome and appreciate our efforts to bring changes in our society especially the thinking pattern and attitude to life by means of imparting good education.

No institution can afford to remain static in this fast going scenario. We are always on the move onward march. In this age of science, technology, globalization, consumerism, fundamentalism and terrorism, spiritual values are at stake.

Our world is witnessing cataclysmic changes. Nothing seems to be certain any more. Man finds himself caught in a maelstrom of desire and achievements from which there is no way out. Anxiety, tension, depression and Stress have become our constant companion, staking us every twist and turn. We can well imagine what a heavy toll stress is taking on the young today as they struggle to meet the expectations of parents, teachers and society. As educationists, all of us are aware of the complexities of the task before us. I feel it is our duty to instill in the young minds the values which will give them strength and courage to with stand all the trials and tribulations. Little Flower School is determined to prepare them to face the challenges of modern world and daily life.

The School takes special attention to ensure the integral development of the Children entrusted with us, their Character and personality. We do lay special care to inculcate in them such qualities that will enable them to grow as disciplined, well balanced, mature and responsible children of their parents and good citizens of our country.

We try to foster the eternal and universal values which are oriented towards the unity and integrity of our nation which possesses a rich and ancient cultural heritage. As education is a powerful force for social re-construction and social transformation we lay stress on imparting quality education to our students. Moral values have a unique place in shaping the character of an individual. Therefore Value education classes are compulsory for all as they instil moral values in their young minds reputed schools in and around. Therefore, their dreams remain like a mirage in the desert.

Here comes the unique way of imparting education by Little Flower School run by Little Flower Congregation (CST Fathers) in Aroor, discouraging the social evils like exploitation, injustice, taking donationfor admission and encouraging tuition.It is, indeed, good news, forthe parents in and around Aroor who belong to middle class families who are struggling hard to meet their both ends together. They have come to know that the educational vision and mission of Little Flower Congregation is entirely different and quite contrary to the current thinking that money is God, money is power and money can bring everything. They welcome and appreciate our efforts to bring changes in our society especially the thinking pattern and attitude to life by means of imparting good education.

Yes, it is in response to the aspirations and ambitions, dreams and desires of all the people in and around Aroor that we are here, taking up a challenging step to cherish your dreams to a reality. Our approach to education is: to make quality education available to everybody without any social, religious and racial discrimination. Our humble attempt is to make this institution an ideal centre of learning. It is in this outlook and approach to education, Little Flower School keeps her head held high with itsunique identity as an ideal centre of learning, an institution for excellence but with a difference.

We are happy to share that in 2018-19 Academic Year two of our schools - Little Flower School at Muktsar in Punjab and Little Flower School at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh got First and Third rank in the ICSE Examat Aroor and we notice the changes in our students. Our humble effort is to make this institution an ideal centre of learning, an institution for excellence. It is in this outlook and approach to education LFS keep its head high with itsunique identity as an institution for excellence but with a difference.

Therefore, dear parents!  You can confidently entrust your children in the efficient, eligible and experienced hands of the teaching Staff of LFS for innovative and qualitative educational experience and to form them as outstanding persons worthy of your family, the society and to the nation at large with a refined character and personality. However, we have to keep in mind that this is possible only with the grace of God and also with the united and untiring efforts of all concerned - the Management, Staff, Parents, guardians and Students. So, we solicit your unqualified support, encouragement and whole hearted co-operation to take this temple of wisdom to the heights of glory.

I would like to share one more thing with you that is, in the life of a child, familyplays a vital role in forming his very self, his personality. It is in the family where the child starts his schooling.He learns the lessons of human values and virtues essential for leading a decent and dignified life from the Parents who are their first teachers. His very character is formed depending on the family atmosphere. It is in the family the child learns to practice and experience love, concern, compassion, generosity, affection, positive attitude and thinking etc. The atmosphere prevailing at home is very much vital to the emotional, psychological, spiritual, intellectual and physical growth of a child. Hence Family is the cradle where the children learn the values and virtues of life. We have to blame ourselves for this because we were busy with our own well-being for making our life prosperous, or rich, ignoring the basic lessons of life essential for our children.

Little Flower School gives prime importance to the character formation of every child admitted here. We want to inculcate in them the feeling that nobody is born insignificant but everybody is born to win and reach the heights in lifeby one’s own effort, zeal andhard work. Our main thrust is to give the best education possible by instilling in the young minds values of discipline, sincerity, truthfulness, compassion and love. We give emphasis on a value based curriculum and thus to make every child the pride of his/ her parents and pride of our country.

We insist on hard work and discipline from the part of parents as well as from the children without which our dream cannot be cherished. Parents have to get disciplined so that children may learn from them. Students cannot be given everything in the classroom. Parents have to make it a habit to find some time with their children to guide them, to support them and to encourage them. A Team work of management, parents, teachers and students will make our target a success. If the team work goes in proper channel, there is nothing impossible for us. To make everything possible, we need a good will, a generous heart, a broad vision and determination. Let us live together and work together with a united heart and mind, with an untiring spirit.
