Registration and Admission

  • Parents who are interested and desirous of seeking admission in Little Flower School must register the names of their ward in advance.
  • As a rule, new students are admitted in LKG and UKG, Std I & V.
  • Parents who are seeking admission for their Ward in LKG, UKG should register their wards’ names by the beginning of November.
  • Those seeking admission to Std 1 & V should register before the First Week of January of the then prevailing Academic Year.
  • The Prospectus along with the Application Forms for Registration will be made available from the School Office from First Week of November during the prescribed School hours and submit on the prescribed date.

    • Admission Of a New Candidtes

  • Admission to other Classes may be given according to the availability of seats based on an entrance Test held in the First Week of April or in the First Week of May.
  • New admissions are made on the basis of the performance of the students in the School they studied last, together with their performance in the Entrance Test held specially for admission in LFS.
  • The List of students selected for admission will be displayed on the School Notice Board.
  • Admission to all Classes is on the basis of an Entrance Examination and the selected candidates must be produced at the time of admission.
  • Every candidate for admission must be introduced by the parents or guardian, who will be responsible for his/her conduct, behaviour, studies, discipline and fees.
  • Application for admission must be submitted in the prescribed form.
  • The Principal reserves the right of refusing admission to a pupil without mentioning any reason for it.

N.B: Registration does not guarantee Admission and the validity of the registration is only for 3 months from the date of Registration.

Admission Procedure

  • Though no special test is conducted for taking admission in LKG, the candidates to LKG are being selected on the basis of the counseling arranged along with their parents. Admission to other classes depends on the availability of seats and in such cases admission will be done on the basis of a written test for the major subjects. The List of students selected for admission will be displayed on the School Notice Board.

N.B: Candidates who have completed 4, 5, 6 years by 1st June of the year of admission are only eligible for admission in LKG, U.K.G & Std 1 respectively.

Requirements for Admission in LKG

Parents who wish to take admission for their ward in LFS Kinder Garten have to fulfill the following requirements:

  • The Parenrs/ Guardian have to come to the School with their ward for a counseling and the candidates for LKG will be selected on the basis of the counseling conducted.
  • The candidates should complete Four Years in June of the year of admission.
  • The original date of birth certificate has to be produced at the time of taking admission and a photo copy of it has to be submitted along with the other testimonials.
  • The Birth Certificate should be from the competent authority such as: Panchayat, Muncipality or Corporation in a State.
  • The Child who seeks admission must be accompanied by the parents.
  • Stamp size photographs shall be affixed on the Application Form and the Registration Slip.
  • Child should answer questions smartly and intelligibly.
  • The interest and the availability of the parents in helping the child will be counted in the selection of the candidates.

    • N.B: Date of Birth once given will not be changed on any account whatsoever and Application does not guarantee Admission & Admission will be subject to the merit and availability of seats.

Little Flower School Insist On

Professionally competent and morally upright, talented, efficient and experienced teachers who are capable of leading and guidingthe students to have a healthy, meaningful and sensible life in the family and society aswell. Every student involving himself or herself in one or more co-curricular activities of the School like music, painting, dancing or literary activities like elocution, writing, creative arts, performing artsetc.
Every student has to be a member in one of the Clubs or Associations like Literary Association, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Debating Club, Quiz Club, Sports Club and Literary and Cultural forum.

School Fees System

  • The School Fee shall be collected in Four Installments
    • 1st Instalment (April to June) is to be deposited with the Admission of the child.
    • 2nd Instalment (July to September) is to be deposited between the 1st and 10th of July.
    • 3rd Instalment (October to December) is to be deposited between the 1st and 10th ofOctober.
    • 4th Instalment (January to March) is to be deposited between the 1st and 10th of January.
    • Fees shall be collected in four instalments, however, fees for the year could be paid in one instalment or perterm if you so desire.
    • Tuition Fees shall be charged for all the 12 months
    • Fees once deposited shall not be refunded. Fees should be paid between 1st and 10th of the scheduled month of instalment.
    • The defaulters may deposit the fee along with a late fee of Rs.20/ till the 20th of the due month and Rs30/-till the end of the month and Rs50/ till the end of the second month.
    • Those who fail to pay the fees will for-feit the admission and if they want to continue, re-admission has to be taken again. Re-admission may be considered after paying Rs.500/-along with the late fee of Rs.100/-
    • All dues and arrears must be cleared before the Half Yearly and Annual Examinations.
  • Mode Of Examinations

    As the Academic Year consists of two Terms, there will be two Terminal Examinations – Half Yearly and Annual Examination which wil lbe takenin the month of October and March respectively together with Two Unit Tests,first before the Half Yearly and these cond before the Annual Examination. The promotion of a student to a higher class is done by taking 10% of the Internal Assessment, 10% each of the Unit Tests, 20% of the Half Yearly and 50% of the Annual Examination. Tests and Examination will not be conducted for a secondtime.The Report of the Tests will be enteredin the Progress Card for the information of the Parents/Guardians.Apass grade in Physical Education, Art & Craft will be an essential requirement for promotions.

  • Promition

    The Promotion of a child is decided through a system of continuous assessment through out the year,i.e. the performance of the student in all the Examinations–Class Tests, Monthly Tests, Unit Tests and Terminal Exams-through out the year and the Internal Assessment, is taken into consideration for the promotion of a child to a higher Class. The following are the criteria for the Promotion of a child to a higher Class:

    • 50% Marks in All theSubjects
    • 60% Marks in InternalAssessment
    • General Progress in CampusBehaviour
    • Staff EvaluationReport
    • 90% Attendance
  • Internal Assessment

    The Internal Assessment carries 100 Marks. 10% of the marks scored for Internal Assessment will be added to the percentage of marks taken from all other examinations and the sum total of all these marks will determine the promotion of a student of a higher class. The criteria for Internal Assessment is:

  • Achievement Report
    • Achievement Report will be prepared and shown to the Parents / Guardians after the First Terminal Examination.
    • After entering the Marks scored in the Second Terminal Examination, the Achievement Card / Progress Card will be given to the parents / Guardians for the irverification and assessment of their ward
    • Parents have to come to the School to see the performance of their ward in the examinations held hither to with the help of the Achievement Report and returns it with signature
    • Grade will be noted in the Achievement Report Card
  • Attandance and Leave
    • Students are expected to attend classesregularly.
    • No student shall absent himself / herself from class with out the prior permission of the Class Teacher / Principal.
    • Students who are absent for five consecutive days should produce Medical Certificate then only he / she will be admitted in the class.
    • If prior permission cannot be obtained for reasons beyond our control, a leave application duly signed by the parent / guardian shouldbe sent to the Principal.
    • Students not attending classes for more than two consecutive weeks must inform the Class Teacher / Principal in writing or else their names shall be struck off from the School Rolls.
    • If a student absents himself / herself from the School without leave being sanctioned by the Principal for more than 14 or more days consecutively his / her name will be struck off from the Rolls. She may bere-admitted on payment of are-admission fee of Rs 500/-upto 15days and Rs1000/- upto 30 days.
    • In case of serious illness, Application for Leave along with a Medical Certificate (issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner) signed by the parent and counter-signed by the Tutor should be submitted to the Principal on re-joining theSchool.
    • Attendance may be condoned in exceptional cases of serious illness or accident as per the provisions of the ICSE Rules and regulations. Absence on account of minor ailments will benoted.
    • Permission to sanction leave more than a day and also from the internal examination is vested with the Principal of the School.
    • No leave of absence will be sanctioned for monthly tests, unit tests or Terminal Examinations.
    • No student will be sent home even in urgent need unless aduly authorized person comes to take him / her home.
  • Removal From The Rolls

    A Pupil shall have his / her names truck off from the rolls on any of the following reasons :

    • If he / she is absent without leave for 5 consecutive working days or 7 consecutive days at any time during the year.
    • If he / she has failed a second time in any of the class.
    • If he / she does not pay the fees of any instalment within 15 consecutive working days after the expiry of the last day of remittance with fine.
    • If the Parents / Guardian does not comply with the request of the Principal to withdraw the pupil from the School.
    • If the Parent / Guardian does not report to the Principal when called to do so with in three days after he / she is in receipt of the message.
    • The Principal reserves the right of refusing continued studies to any pupil who seconduct is found not satisfactory or who is not gaining benefit by his / her study in the School.
    • If he / she is a bad influence onothers.
    • Misbehaviour in School bus, bus stop, Public places and Streets are sufficient reason for dismissal from the School.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Uniform is not for style or show. It symbolizes unity and uniformity, rather than disunity or diversity. It also indicates the quality and a sense of belonging to the institution. Uniform provides a special identity and hence it is a source of pride and responsibility not shame. We do insist on uniform to be worn daily with modesty and dignity. The School insists for a specific Uniform from classes LKG to X and separate dress for P.T and Inter House competitions. Students have to come to the School in the prescribed Uniform on all working days. Every Wednesday, the students have to come to the School in their respective House Uniforms and on Fridays in P.T.Uniform. The arrangement of the Uniform will be done by the School to maintain both uniformity in quality and colour of the material.
