The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certicficate Examinations, New Delhi. Therefore the Course of study followed in the School is in accordance with the Syllabus prescribed by the Indian Council for the Secondary Education (ICSE), New Delhi. There are two courses for the external examinations, one at the Secondary level, towards the end of the Ten year Terminal Examination known as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education(ICSE) Examination and the other at the Higher Secondary level leading to the Plus Two examination, namely Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination.

The School Academic Year is from June to May. The Academic Year is divided in to Two Terms. First Term starts from June and the Second Term is from November.

  • SCHOOL CURRICULUM

Therefore the Course of study followed in the School is in accordance with the Syllabus prescribed by the Indian Council for the Secondary Education(ICSE), NewDelhi .Therearetwo courses for the external examinations, one at the Secondary level, towards the end of the Ten year Terminal Examination known as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination and the other at the Higher Secondary level leading to the Plus-Two examination, namely Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination. We have the course upto secondary leveli.e., upto Tenth Standard. Both the Courses are recognized by all the Universities in India. Malayalam and Hindi are taught in our school from lower classes onwards ascompulsory subjects. The Course of study followed in the School is in accordance with the Syllabus prescribed by the Indian Council for the Secondary Education(ICSE), NewDelhi. It is a School where three languages–English, Malayalam and Hindi are taught as compulsory subjects from lower section onwards.

  • THE SCHEME OF THE ICSE EXAMINATION

    The ICSE Examination is held in March every year for the students of Std.X. SUBJECTS OF THE ICSE EXAMINATION

    • A third language (Hindi from Class 1 to VIII)
    • Art & Craft
    • Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service (SUPW)
    • Physical Education
    • Education in Moral and Spiritual Values.
    • General Knowledge.

    There will be only Internal Examination or Internal Assessment for the above subject. But a pass in SUPW and Community Service is essential for a Pass in the ICSE Examination. The grade obtained in this will be recorded in the ICSE Certificate.

  • MODE OF EXAMINATION

    As the Academic Year consists of two Terms, there will be two Terminal Examinations – Half Yearly and Annual Examination which wil lbe takenin the month of October and March respectively together with Two Unit Tests,first before the Half Yearly and these cond before the Annual Examination. The promotion of a student to a higher class is done by taking 10% of the Internal Assessment, 10% each of the Unit Tests, 20% of the Half Yearly and 50% of the Annual Examination. Tests and Examination will not be conducted for a secondtime.The Report of the Tests will be enteredin the Progress Card for the information of the Parents/Guardians.Apass grade in Physical Education, Art & Craft will be an essential requirement for promotions.

  • PROMOTION

    The Promotion of a child is decided through a system of continuous assessment through out the year,i.e. the performance of the student in all the Examinations–Class Tests, Monthly Tests, Unit Tests and Terminal Exams-through out the year and the Internal Assessment, is taken into consideration for the promotion of a child to a higher Class. The following are the criteria for the Promotion of a child to a higher Class:

    • 50% Marks in All theSubjects
    • 60% Marks in InternalAssessment
    • General Progress in CampusBehaviour
    • Staff EvaluationReport
    • 90% Attendance
  • INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

    The Internal Assessment carries 100 Marks. 10% of the marks scored for Internal Assessment will be added to the percentage of marks taken from all other examinations and the sum total of all these marks will determine the promotion of a student of a higher class. The criteria for Internal Assessment is:

    • Courtesy Manners & EmotionalMaturity - 10marks
    • Communicative English - RuleofLanguage - 10marks
    • Attendance & Regularity - 10marks
    • Punctuality & Discipline - 10marks
    • Extra-curricular & Co-CurricularActivities - 10marks

  • ACHIEVEMENT REPORT

    The Internal Assessment carries 100 Marks. 10% of the marks scored for Internal Assessment will be added to the percentage of marks taken from all other examinations and the sum total of all these marks will determine the promotion of a student of a higher class. The criteria for Internal Assessment is:

    • Achievement Report will be prepared and shown to the Parents / Guardians after the First Terminal Examination.
    • After entering the Marks scored in the Second Terminal Examination, the Achievement Card / Progress Card will be given to the parents / Guardians for the irverification and assessment of their ward
    • Parents have to come to the School to see the performance of their ward in the examinations held hither to with the help of the Achievement Report and returns it with signature
    • Grade will be noted in the Achievement Report Card
